Holiday Showcase of the Stars

Saturday December 4^th

Tonight was the annual St. Anthony’s Holiday Showcase of Stars show at St. Paul High School in Bristol. It is a huge community show filled with talent. I led the children’s chorus in singing “Born on This Day” to open the show and I began the second half of the show with the children joining me in singing “Step Into Christmas.” I told the children that we were having a little contest… whoever smiled the biggest and sang the loudest I would come dance with while I was singing. Needless to say, they ALL had huge smiles and projected their voices full force to the audience. It was great!!

Antenna Salon/ Foxwoods CMN fundraiser!

Friday December 3^rd

This afternoon I went to Antenna Salon to see JD! He did my hair and Carol did my nails. I always feel right at home when I am there. Thank you to everyone at Antenna Salon!

I went back to Foxwoods after visiting JD to promote my fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen again. I ate dinner with Gail and Brenden and handed out many more flyers to those visiting the casino. Thanks to all who came to enjoy dinner and support the cause!

Patty May/ Foxwoods California Pizza to benefit CMN!

Today I met with my wonderful friend and vocal coach, Patty May, to practice my song for Miss America. The date is getting closer and closer... I can’t wait! Thank you, Patty, for always being there for me.

Afterwards, I went to Foxwoods Casino! I had a fundraiser at the California Pizza Kitchen where 20% of customers’ bills who came with my flyer went to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. I enjoyed dinner with my family, John Owsianik, Gail, Maggie, Brenden, Patty and her sister. I was also able to meet many people who came to visit the casino and I encouraged them to eat at California Pizza to benefit the Children’s Hospital!

Holiday Carol Sing!

This afternoon I went to a dress rehearsal for the Holiday Showcase of the Stars that will be held this Saturday at St. Paul’s High School!

This evening I was a part of a holiday carol sing in Bristol at Webster Bank. It is such a great event to bring the community together during the holiday season. After singing Christmas carols with everyone, I called all of the children in the room to come up and dance with me while I sang, “All I Want for Christmas is You!”

Crowning Touch!

Tuesday November 30^th

Today Marla and I drove to The Crowning Touch in New Bedford, Massachusetts for my first Miss America wardrobe fitting! It is always nice to see Maria and Raquel; they do so much for the Miss Connecticut Organization. Thank you Maria & Raquel for making me feel so beautiful in all of my dresses!!

New York City!

Monday November 29^th

Today my mom and I joined Marla, Tom and Donna Prete on a trip to New York City. We went to get jewelry and some other items needed on our list for the Miss America Pageant! I absolutely love going to the city. We had a great day :)

We also stopped at Alphagraphics, a new printing sponsor for the Miss Connecticut Organization! I was able to meet some of the staff.

Sunday November 28^th

This morning I worked at the diner... it was nice to see all of my old customers. They are all very excited to watch Miss America!

This evening I went to the Holiday Showcase of the Stars rehearsal to practice my songs with the children’s chorus. Just a reminder, the show is December 4^th!
